We spent the first week of Easter, between the 4th and 8th of April, in Ancona (Italy) playing in a tournament called "Easter Volley" in which Italian, Serbian and American teams participated.
The 4th of April, we headed to Madrid from the bus station Termibus and drove for about 5 hours. Once in Madrid, we got in the plane and flew to Bologna. It took us about 2 hours and a half to get there, and once we got to Bologna, we rented a car and a van and headed to Ancona, which took us about 3 hours. In Ancona, we stayed at a resort called "Natural Village".
Next day we got up early in the morning, because we had to play 3 games, one of them in the morning and the rest in the afternoon.
After some problems to find the sports centre, we played the games, but didn't get good results, as we lost the three of them and couldn't qualify for the quarterfinals.
The fifth day as we had to play in the afternoon we had got free time, so we used it to stay in the resort relaxing, going to the beach and taking photos. the match we played in the afternoon wad against an italian team and we beat them 2-1.
the last day of the championship we had to play for the 13 and 14 places in the classification but we weren' t lucky and we lost the match. After having lunch we went to an amazing sports pavilion where the final match took place with a very high level where the team of the united states became winner. When the final game finished the awards where given to the winner teams and after that everyone got something as a reward of participation to end up with a happy day we went to have dinner to a restaurant and later we went to a gelateria to take an ice-cream.

Finally the last day, April 8th, we woke up at 3.30 am to go to the airport of Rome, as the trip lasts four hours from Ancona. The flight was Roma Santander and after flying we had another two hours of travel to arrive to our houses.

Nikolaus Turnier 2010

The 2nd of December, we went to Germany from Bilbao's airport. The flight took off at 15.30 more or less; it was delayed because of the bad weather in Frankfurt. We arrive there at 6 o'clock in the afternoon and after waiting a few hours at the airport, we took the second plane, which was going to Nuremberg at 9 o'clock. When we arrived, some responsible of the tournament came to pick us up from Sulbach-rosenberg with two vans, they were really kind. After one hour of traveling with them, we arrived at the hotel where we stay the next three days.

The hotel wasn´t big but it was nice. The rooms were large enough and comfortable because we were just two person in each room. The hotel was located in the center of the village and ten minutes away from the sportclomplex, so we could visit without problems. The village had wonderful views that made the cold from outside disappear. We were amazed by the long tracks around the frozen lake.
Although the temperature was very low, the little humidity helps to put up with the cold and as in every establishment and in our hotel was a central heating we weren’t cold. Anyway no had to wrap up warm the day we went to visit Nuremberg where some feet finished frozen. It worth the visit to Nuremberg, as it’s a city with a good geographical location and attractive to visit, because of its monuments and history. Among the things we visited as its traditional in the central Europe the Christmas market, which is full of magnificent articles that you can buy or simply see them. After being all the morning scouring the whole city trough its beautiful streets, we had rest in a restaurant while we eat and take shelter from the cold

On Saturday, the 4th of December the championship began. There we won two matches, so we classify to the next stage. When the day finished, at night, we met all the teams in a nice restaurant and after a tasty dinner, every team made a performance that had already prepared. We danced a typical dance from the north called, “Bikote dantza”. We took some players from some teams to dance we us, so that they could learn it, and we must say that it was a very successful dance, everybody liked it. Some players wanted to dance it again, and a trainer took the CD for him!
We were very lucky because of the weather; we didn’t have any problems to arrive to Nuremberg or to return to Bilbao the 6th of December.
The 6th, we woke up really early, to go to the airport. There we stayed most of the morning, thinking about how exited this trip has been. Both of the flights hadn’t any problems, knowing that the air traffic controls were on strike.
It's been a great championship. On every side on the sports side because we placed 4th and it was a high ranked tournament and also on the recreational side since we got to visit a country like Germany!

Ven Vennutti To Italy!

During the days 17,18,19,20 and 21 we took part in the famous Aqui Terme championship in Italy.In the tourment there were 32 teams from Europe. The first round we did it well. We won teh frist 2 matches against Italian teams: Almeno S. Bartolomeo (2-1) and Pallavollo ovada (2-1). The fourth team of our group didn´t took part, finally.

After, we were the first team in our group, and with Hungary we were the only two foreigner teams clasified.

In the round before the quarter-finals, we played against River Volley, winning 2-0,but we didn´t had so much lock in the quarter-finals, because we lost against S. Orsola Alba.

We lost next two matches and we finished in eight place.

In the tourment, we enjoyed in a welcome-party and anther disco-party too.

During that days, we had time to visit the town and eat some famous italian "gelatos". We also had the oportunity to meet new teams. We really had great time!
